Heirloom Jackets

For my birthday this past year, one of my sweet sisters gave me Anna Maria Horner‘s sewing book “Handmade Beginnings.” I’ve been sewing up a store using her fabulous little pattern for jackets. Adding a few touches that make them more suitable for our lives- such as adding an iron on batting to the lining and then quilting the pieces to add longevity before assembling the lining shell and completing the jackets. To date I’ve finished 4. 2 gifts, one for Fae, and one special little jacket for a little Mr who we hope will join the family eventually. This last jacket has a quoted lining of simple blue. A special blue though. It’s made using the shirt that Conor whore in our wedding.
